Meet Rick & Lois
Who are we?
Rick and Lois became the new owners of the hotel in 2017. Together they have worked the bar and taken care of the locals and all the visitors of the pub since then. With many renovations going on the Hotel is evolving on a weekly basis and Rick and Lois are determined to provide a truly outstanding place for all to come and relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful view that Mount Compass has to offer along with the relaxing country style that Compass is renowned for.
Why not come along and visit, say hi, have a drink and enjoy the local food, wine and music, and if you are lucky enough you may even be privy to what is getting to be known as “The RICK Factor”……

We are extremely happy to be the proprietors of The Mount Compass Hotel. After Rick spending many years as a multi-Award-Winning Builder and Lois’s extensive experience in the hospitality Industry, made this an easy decision to make a new lifestyle choice, that suited us both.
Having lived on the Fleurieu Peninsula for the past 35years we were keen to put our business experience into the Mount Compass Hotel, as it is central to the Fleurieu Peninsula and the Southern Vales Wine area of McLaren Vale and Willunga, and this provides us with a unique opportunity to accomplish our vision “To Create a Friendly & Welcoming Atmosphere Incorporating Great Local Food, Wine, Spirits, Craft Beers, Music & Art to all that visit”. Not forgetting all the standard beers and Spirits available too.
We welcome our local residents of Mount Compass and The Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australians, Interstate and Overseas guests to “our” Local Pub, The Mount Compass Hotel.
